Getting Started
Most small to medium sized companies either cannot afford to source their own HR specialists or have one HR manager who struggles to meet all the requirements. Yet it is crucial to have a basic people management infrastructure, which meets legal requirements and provides sufficient guidelines to avoid major problems in the future. It is for example a legal requirement that employees be given a contract, that they know the grievance and the disciplinary procedures.
At a minimum companies need a system to pay people, record keeping to meet requirements such as the Working Time Directive, recruitment methods that comply with legislation and induction to the company which covers terms and conditions and meets health and safety regulations.
Corporate HR Partners offers various aids to help small companies over the hurdles required in setting up such an infrastructure.
